Creative Defiance Writing Circle
A Collaborative Experience for Writers
What began as a creative writing workshop evolved into a dynamic Writing Circle. With support, focus, accountability, and a genuine desire to tell stories, we have successfully written and self-published, and we enjoy marketing our books as we continue writing.
Now is the time to take creative control and unlock the possibilities in writing, publishing, and marketing within a collaborative environment of committed storytellers.
We welcome writers eager to discover their creative depths.
Cheri Keirstead
Founder
Cheri has always written, but it wasn’t until she found the supportive community of a writing group that she was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of writing and publishing a novel. Now she’s hooked and has so many stories to tell. She’s decided to turn her first novel into a three-book series, set in Saint Augustine, Florida. The second book is due out by the end of the year.
Bob Pritchard
Founding Member
Bob started writing seriously during the covid shut down. He completed two novels Her Puerto Rican Smile and The Man Who Wanted to be Cary Grant, books he had been thinking about for years. After they were published the ideas kept coming and he kept writing. Not limited by a single genre, he wrote what came to him. A detective novel, a horror story, a fantasy series and a comic story about football. All told he has written 11 novels and one book of short stories.
Elizabeth Kellam
Founding Member
Beth has had many lives. A classical music student, a military wife, a market researcher, a founder of two businesses, and a writer now living in Cape Cod and St. Augustine.
She has long been captivated by the hidden truths in music history.
“Chopin’s Last Manuscript” is her debut novel, the first in a planned series that explores the lives and artistic struggles of legendary composers and musicians.
Beth believes that “writing about music is like painting a watercolor in black and white.” You must hear it to feel the color, to connect to the soul of the musician.
So she has created a new concept known as “immersive reading experiences.”
The ebook version of the novel will allow readers to listen to the music as they read by clicking embedded links.
The paperback and hardcover versions will also include the links, and readers can listen to the music by clicking the soundtrack at The Sound of Genius.com
